APRIL + MAY: MURPH PREP

Murph Prep

  • We are repeating last year's Murph Prep challenge for April + May. Murph is a big workout and it’s a lot to get ready for in a short time. Historically we've always done a single month Murph Prep challenge and last year we extended it to span both April + May, leading up to Memorial Day weekend when we will be doing our annual Memorial Day Murph.

    There are tons of different ways to tackle the workout itself and we’ve talked about those before in our Murph Strategy blog post.

    The point of this challenge is to 1) familiarize yourself with the workout and different ways to approach it, and 2) build to the volume we’re going to be taking on during Murph.

    We'll be retesting the challenge workouts from last year and sharing them on Sugarwod each Monday with the 1st Challenge workout posted on Tuesday 4/2 since this is being posted on Monday evening.

MARCH : Tour de Bike'Erg + C2 International Women's Day

Tour de Bike'Erg + C2 International Women's Day

  • This month's challenge is inspired by Concept2's annual Tour De SkiErg Challenge. Each week there will be a BikeErg time trial test to complete (4 total). This is not an official C2 challenge so we'll be running it through SugarWOD and there's no need to log your results with the ErgData app unless you want to. To complete the challenge you must log the following Ski's through the ErgData App each week:

    Time Trials are:

  • Week 1 | March 5-11: 1,000m

  • Week 2 | March 12-18: 2,000m

  • Week 3 | March 19-25: 5,000m

  • Week 4 | March 26-31: 10,000m (option to complete on 3/8 for International Women's Day fundraiser challenge)

    There is also a bonus challenge / fundraiser this month in honor of International Women's Day where you can support the Women’s Sports Foundation and Women Sport International. To offically participate (and raise money) you must sign up on the front page of the C2 Logbook and then row or ski a 5000m piece (or ride 10,000m on the BikeErg) on International Women's Day (3/8).     For every person who takes part in our International Women's Day Challenge, Concept2 will donate $5 per participant up to a maximum total of $15,000. You can read more about the offical C2 challenge here: Concept2 International Women's Day

JANUARY : 100 Day Burpee Challenge

100 Day Burpee Challenge

  • We are revisiting the 100 Day Burpee Challenge, it has been a few years since we've done this challenge and it's a great way to shake off the Holidays, kick-off 2024, and get better burpees. The challenge starts off simple...on Day 1 complete 1 Burpee, on Day 2 complete 2 Buprees, on Day 3 complete 3...and so on until the final Day 100 where you complete 100 Burpees. This is as mentally challenging as it is physically. Completing all 100 Days means you have completed a total of 5,050 Burpees.
