Attention anyone who likes CrossFit and beer: On Saturday, September 8th, CrossFit Hook’d in Sandy Hook is having their fourth annual Hookd2Hops competition. This is a fun event for a lot of reasons: the great community over at CrossFit Hook’d, Two Roads beer, food trucks, and multiple CrossFit workouts. Most importantly, 100% of the proceeds from the event go to the Catch a Lift Foundation which provides mental and physical health services to combat veterans.
For those looking to compete, Hook’d guarantees three WODs for all athletes followed by a fourth for top finishers. Teams are four athletes, two men and two women, with both Rx and scaled divisions. Two of the events have already been posted. You can find information on Eventbrite, the Hook’d website, or on Facebook. If you sign up before August 25th you are guaranteed a Hookd2Hops T-shirt (they’re pretty sweet). If you are looking to spectate, events start around 9; you can cheer on the athletes for a few hours and work up an appetite for snacks at the Fryborg Food Truck and some Two Roads lunch beers in the afternoon.
Get your teams together soon! If you have questions you can ask Caitlin, our very own Two Roads in-house representative. If you’re interested in competing, register below:
